(Written by Hope Spencer - Grade 5 pupil)
On a blistering hot Monday morning, the Grade 5s trooped out of two stuffy buses. They were all split into groups and hustled off to their various activities. While Group 2 trudged through the wetland and admired different types of cranes, Group 1 tackled the forest obstacle course, some better than others!
They weaved and jumped and balanced their way to the finish. Upon completion of the course, next came the steep uphill climb to the Magic Waterfall, which they later found out was inhabited by a rather shy-rock lizard. On their descent down, the group were fortunate enough to spot a baby Berg Adder slithering slowly towards the tall grass.
