Grade 2 trip to Tala Game Reserve

“On Wednesday morning last week, our Grade 2s set off on their trip to Tala Game Reserve. There was great excitement on the bus as our little people discussed all the animals that they hoped to see. And they certainly weren’t disappointed! While there, our children enjoyed a game drive in the morning AND a game drive at night. Hippos, rhino’s, warthogs, ostriches, giraffe and a variety of buck were spotted at close range. The rest of the trip was spent learning about bird ringing, indigenous trees (while on a bush walk) and the amazing world of insects. They made their own fires to ‘braai’ their lunch and spent some time in and around the rock pools when given a chance to relax. The trip back to Clifton was a great deal quieter that the trip to Tala as our Grade 2s, tired but happy, looked forward to sharing all they had experienced with their families back home.”
